Pix Planner is a productivity app for tasks, routines, reminders, and in-app progress. Depending on your app version, it also includes personal trackers for Fitness, Nutrition, Recipes, and Groceries. This Privacy Policy explains what information Pix Planner handles, how it is collected and used, when it leaves your device, and the choices available to you.
You may use the core planning features and the trackers locally without signing in. Optional Google or Apple sign-in enables account features such as cloud backup, account-based progress, referrals, and supporter purchases. Pix Planner does not create a Firebase anonymous account for signed-out users.
Depending on the features you use, Pix Planner may store the following information on your device:
Planner content: tasks and task activity, categories, recurrence and scheduling information, and side quests, including side-quest notes you write.
Routines and progress: manually entered hydration settings and history, streaks, Growth Points, virtual coins, challenge progress, achievements, and related reward history.
Customization: owned or equipped cosmetics, avatars, themes, and supporter-related display choices.
Device settings: notification schedules and preferences, tutorial or onboarding state, display preferences, and local caches used to keep account transitions and app state consistent.
If you use the trackers, Pix Planner also stores the information you enter in them:
Fitness: your exercise program (workouts, chosen days, exercises, planned sets, rep targets, and rest times); custom exercises you create; workout records, including workout names, start and end times, and for each set the weight, repetitions, duration, distance, speed, or incline you log, drop sets, and completion times; an in-progress workout draft so an unfinished workout can be resumed; weight check-ins (date and body weight); your weight goal (lose, gain, or none, and an optional target weight); your preferred units; and reward bookkeeping for Fitness coin features.
Nutrition: meals you log, with their date, name, and nutritional values (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, fat, and sugars); the ingredients and amounts in grams you add to a meal; custom ingredients you create with their nutritional values; recipe portions you log as meals; saved Fitness meals; and your nutrition goals, including the date each goal takes effect.
Recipes: saved recipes, including the name, ingredient lines, instructions, number of servings, and any nutritional values you enter.
Groceries: the items you track (from Pix Planner's built-in list or names you type), whether an item is on your shopping list, essential and suggestion settings, and a limited history of when items were added to or removed from the shopping list or recorded as purchased. Pix Planner uses that history on your device to estimate when items may need restocking.
Information you enter while signed out is not uploaded as a Pix Planner cloud backup. Some technical network communication may still occur when the app initializes or uses platform services (see "Service providers" below). Local information generally remains until you remove or reset it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Your device's own backup features, such as an iCloud device backup or an Android backup to your Google account, may include Pix Planner's local data according to your device settings and the platform's policies.
Workout records, weight check-ins and goals, meals, and nutrition values or goals are entered manually by you. Depending on where you live, this information may be treated as health-related or otherwise sensitive personal data. Pix Planner does not read it from Apple Health (HealthKit), Health Connect, wearables, or any other health platform, and does not write it to them.
When you are signed in, Pix Planner asks whether to include your Fitness and Nutrition records in your cloud backup. They are uploaded only if you choose Back up; if you choose Keep on device, they stay on that device only. You can change this choice at any time in Profile → Backup & Account. Pix Planner uses this information to provide the tracking features you choose, such as showing workout history, weight trends, nutrition totals and goal progress, and, if you chose to back it up, to back up and restore your records. Pix Planner does not use it for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
The nutritional values for foods offered by Pix Planner come from a food dataset built into the app (derived from USDA FoodData Central). Looking up foods does not send your searches to an external food database.
If you choose Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, the identity provider and Firebase Authentication process your sign-in. Pix Planner may receive and store a Firebase account identifier, your email address and display name when the provider supplies them, the sign-in provider, and account creation and login timestamps.
When account services are initialized, Pix Planner may also process application version, device platform, locale, timezone, first- and last-seen timestamps, and technical schema or migration information. Locale and timezone support scheduling, account setup, and consistent app behavior; Pix Planner does not use GPS or precise location APIs to obtain them.
When you are signed in, Pix Planner uploads and synchronizes account and app data through Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Changes are uploaded automatically, and you can also back up manually from Backup & Account. The cloud backup may include task titles, task schedules and activity history, categories, side quests and side-quest notes, manually entered hydration information, progress and streak data, Growth Points, achievements, cosmetics and themes, selected challenge state, and tutorial or category state.
The cloud backup also includes your saved Recipes and your Groceries items with their shopping-list and purchase history.
Fitness and Nutrition backup is your choice. If you choose Back up, the cloud backup also includes your Fitness program, custom exercises, workout records, any in-progress workout draft, weight check-ins, weight goal and Fitness settings, and your Nutrition meals, ingredients, nutritional values, saved Fitness meals and nutrition goals. Your choice is stored with your backup so that your other devices follow it. If choices made on different devices conflict, Keep on device wins.
If you choose Keep on device, these records are not uploaded, any copy already in your cloud backup is removed at the next successful backup, and restoring a backup does not change them on your device. Until you choose, Pix Planner does not upload new Fitness or Nutrition records; a copy uploaded by an earlier app version stays in your backup until you choose. An older Pix Planner version on another device signed in to the same account does not know about this choice and may still upload these records, so update the app on every device you use.
Pix Planner keeps one current backup for each account. Each successful backup replaces the previous one, so a record you delete on your signed-in device is removed from the backup at the next successful backup. Pix Planner does not keep an app-level history of earlier backup versions. A backup has a maximum size; if your data is too large to fit, the backup is not updated and the previous backup remains.
Account-specific virtual-wallet, collectible inventory, supporter entitlement, referral, and purchase state may be stored separately from the main cloud-backup snapshot. This information is used to keep rewards and ownership consistent across devices and to prevent duplicate or invalid rewards.
When you are signed in, some Fitness coin rewards are calculated by Pix Planner's servers rather than on your device. For these features, limited information derived from your Fitness records is sent separately from the cloud backup:
Weight-progress coins: if you have a weight goal and the "Surprise coins for weight progress" option is on (it is on by default and can be turned off in Fitness), the app sends an identifier of the milestone reached, for example "second weight-loss milestone". It does not send your weight or check-in values. The server keeps a record of each milestone already rewarded.
Workout coins: when you start and finish a workout, the app may send a workout identifier, your time zone, the day of the workout, and, for each completed set, its identifier, the type of exercise logging, and the repetitions or duration. It does not send exercise names, weights, distances, or other workout details. The server keeps per-workout and per-day totals used to calculate and limit rewards.
This information is used only to calculate, limit, and prevent duplication of these rewards, and it is deleted with your account.
Pix Planner's Firebase security rules allow a signed-in account to read and write only its own cloud backup, and the Firebase SDKs connect to Google's services over encrypted network connections. Cloud backups are not end-to-end encrypted: they are stored in Firebase in a form that Pix Planner's backend systems, and people with administrative access to Pix Planner's Firebase project, can technically access. We do not access individual backups except where needed to operate, secure, or troubleshoot the service, to respond to a request from you, or to comply with law. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Notifications are optional and require device permission. Pix Planner currently uses locally scheduled device notifications rather than Firebase Messaging remote push notifications. A task title, or the names of grocery items on your shopping list, may appear in the visible notification content. Notification schedules and preferences are primarily stored on your device and are not included in the main cloud-backup snapshot.
Pix Planner may offer optional real-money supporter purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles your payment credentials. Pix Planner does not receive your card number, bank-account credentials, or other direct payment credentials.
To verify and fulfill a purchase, Pix Planner may receive and process the product identifier, store receipt or purchase token, transaction or purchase identifiers, store environment, verification and finalization results, and the virtual rewards or supporter entitlements granted. This information is used for purchase verification, transaction integrity, fraud and duplicate-reward prevention, purchase restoration, virtual rewards, and supporter status.
If you choose to enter a message with a supporter purchase, that message may be stored briefly on your device while the purchase is pending and sent to Pix Planner's backend when it is matched to the purchase. Restored or replayed historical purchases are not intended to attach the current message draft.
If you use the referral feature, Pix Planner may process referral codes, account relationships, referral status, timestamps, and qualification or reward information. If you choose to share a referral invitation, Pix Planner passes the invitation to your device's share interface. The destination you select may process the shared text under its own privacy practices.
If you email support@pixplanner.app, we receive your email address and any account details, screenshots, descriptions, or other information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to and document your request and may retain it as reasonably necessary for support, security, and recordkeeping.
Pix Planner uses the following providers to deliver particular features:
Google Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, account data, cloud backup (including Recipes and Groceries records, and Fitness and Nutrition records if you choose to back them up), server functions, economy and inventory state, Fitness rewards, referrals, purchase verification workflows, deletion workflows, and operational logging.
Google Sign-In: optional Google account authentication.
Apple and Sign in with Apple: optional Apple account authentication.
Apple App Store / StoreKit and Google Play / Play Billing: optional in-app purchase processing, verification, and restoration.
Google Fonts: if you choose certain optional display fonts, the app may download the font file from Google's font servers, which receive standard connection information such as your IP address. No planner or tracker content is sent.
Your device's operating system also handles local notifications and the share interface. These providers may process technical connection, security, and service records under their own terms and privacy policies. Their infrastructure may process information in countries other than the one where you live.
Pix Planner currently does not display in-app advertising or use a third-party ad network. The current app does not implement behavioral analytics, Firebase Analytics, a Crashlytics or other third-party crash-reporting service, App Tracking Transparency or IDFA access, Android Advertising ID access, or cross-app tracking.
This does not mean that the operating system, app stores, identity providers, or Firebase and Google Cloud produce no technical or operational records. Their standard network, security, billing, and service logs are governed by their own practices.
The current app does not request access to GPS or precise location, contacts, the photo or media library, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, calendars, HealthKit, Health Connect, or equivalent health-platform APIs. Hydration, workout, weight, and nutrition information is entered manually in Pix Planner and is not read from a health platform or wearable. Exercise demonstration videos are included in the app and are not streamed. As described above, locale and timezone may be processed as account metadata.
Pix Planner and its cloud services use operational logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot account and cloud features. These logs may include technical or account identifiers and purchase, referral, reward, backup, notification, or deletion status information, such as backup sizes or a reward result. They are not designed to record the contents of your tasks or tracker records. Client-side diagnostic output may also contain limited identifiers or notification details. We do not operate a separate behavioral-analytics or crash-reporting service. Log retention varies by device and infrastructure configuration.
We use information described in this policy to provide local and account features, including the Fitness, Nutrition, Recipes, and Groceries trackers you choose to use; authenticate users; maintain cloud backups and restore your records; synchronize progress and ownership; schedule reminders; operate virtual economy, Fitness reward, and referral features; verify purchases; grant and restore rewards; respond to support; protect transaction integrity; prevent fraud or duplicate rewards; process deletion requests; and secure and troubleshoot the service.
Pix Planner does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to the service providers described above where needed to authenticate you, provide cloud backup and account features, run economy, Fitness reward, or referral features, process and verify purchases, provide support, operate and secure the service, troubleshoot problems, or comply with applicable law. We do not disclose information, including fitness, weight, or nutrition information, to advertising networks or data brokers.
Local information generally remains on the device until it is removed or reset, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, subject to platform storage and backup behavior. You can delete individual tracker records, such as a workout, weight check-in, meal, recipe, or grocery item, inside the app; when you are signed in, the deletion reaches your cloud backup at the next successful backup. Account and cloud data generally remains while the account exists or until it is otherwise removed through the app's features. We have not set a fixed retention period for an existing account's backup.
When an account is deleted, Pix Planner removes the Firebase Authentication account and active data in the account's cloud-data tree, including the cloud backup with any tracker records it holds and the Fitness reward records, through its deletion process. Limited transaction, referral, security, or audit information may be retained without the active Pix Planner account identifier where needed for transaction integrity, fraud and duplicate-reward prevention, financial recordkeeping, security, or legal obligations. Infrastructure-log retention can vary, and Apple, Google, Firebase, app stores, and device platforms may retain records according to their own requirements and policies.
Signed-in users can initiate account deletion inside Pix Planner from the Backup & Account screen. For instructions and an external request route that does not require the app, visit https://pixplanner.app/account-deletion/. You may also contact support@pixplanner.app if you cannot access the in-app flow.
Deleting a Pix Planner account deletes the Firebase account and associated active Pix Planner cloud data according to the deletion process. After a deletion started in the app, the app also resets the account's local records on that device, including Fitness, Nutrition, Recipes, and Groceries. Deletion does not necessarily remove every device-level preference or cache, information already sent through a device share destination or support email, limited retained transaction/referral records described above, data on other devices where you used the account, or records controlled independently by Apple, Google, your device platform, or an app store. To remove remaining local app information, you may clear Pix Planner's app storage or uninstall the app, subject to platform backup and restore behavior.
Pix Planner is not designed for children under 13. The current app does not ask for a date of birth and does not provide an age gate or parental-consent workflow. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted account information, contact support@pixplanner.app.
You can use core planning features and the trackers without signing in, choose whether to sign in and back up, choose whether your Fitness and Nutrition records are included in your cloud backup, choose whether to enable notifications, turn off weight-progress coins in Fitness, delete individual tracker records, decide whether to use referrals or make a supporter purchase, and delete your signed-in account through the app or the external request route. We may update this Privacy Policy when Pix Planner's features or information practices change. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
